Amma Tookay a Tamil Temple is in the south of Mauritius at Camp Diable.Near the beautiful wild beaches and surrounded with sugar cane field. A pathway on both side with palm trees which takes you inside the temple and the main temple dedicated to the ‘Amma’ means mother.
A mysterious temple,the inhabitants of the region saw a form of divine energy there and began to pray. Subsequently, a temple was built around the statue found in the sugar cane field which has a power. Some other inhabitants believes that it was not a stone but a statue of Amma Tookay.

The unique feature of the temple is 108 foot tall the Venkateswara statue at the entrance. This temple of Lord Venkateswara is found at 16eme Mille, Forest-Side of Mauritius. According to the Hindu scriptures, Lord Vishnu, out of love towards his devotees, incarnated as Venkateswara and appeared for the upliftment and liberation of humanity.
