We take off from Pointe Jerome to Ile aux Aigrettes for a short boat trip navigating for 1.5 to 2 hours, a must to visit for the nature lovers. Embark for a boat trip and land on a haven for discovering the endemic species in the South East of Mauritius. The island has been declared a nature conservation site and today is being preserved by the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation.

Get a glimpse of the early natural history of Mauritius. See the rare Pink pigeon, the Mauritius Kestrel, endangered skinks and giant tortoises. Learn about the multiple conservation programmes done on the island for endangered species.

Ile aux Aigrettes is a site declared nature reserve in 1965. There are rare plants species and trees that are grown on the islands. Ile-aux-Aigrettes was also used by the British as a military base during the World War 2 and at that time the forest was almost cleared. You will visit the breath-taking scenery of the South East of Mauritius. Discover Ile-aux-Aigrettes with the indigenous nature, and the fauna and flora without forgetting the animal sanctuary the giant tortoises, breeding goats and Birds among the Mauritius kestrel, rare pink pigeon of the Ile-aux-Aigrettes island.

You will get to see beautiful plants, trees and chance to see orchids in full bloom on the island.

Souvenirs and gift shop is available at the visitors waiting room, and the fund from the shop is reinvested in the preservation of the island.
